Hi everyone! So basically I narrowed my taste for a new dress watch down to a set of rules. I'm looking for watches that match those rules, budget under 3k EUR!

- it has to have a black leather strap

- it has to be a white or silver dial, no beige or champagne tint

- between 38 and 41 mm

- the hour markers can not be simple sticks like on the speedmaster or rolex OP

- respectable brand, even if it's for example "only" Seiko (added)

Two examples that match the criteria, although above my budget, seem to be the Zenith Elite Ultra Thin and the Omega Seamaster 1948. But what other similair watches are out there?

Based on your preferences, here are some great dress watch options under 3k EUR that should fit your style:

  1. Nomos Tangente 38 (Ref. 165)
    • Size: 38mm
    • Dial: White silver-plated with clean Arabic numerals
    • Strap: Black leather

  1. Junghans Meister Handaufzug
    • Size: 39mm
    • Dial: White, simple but elegant with distinct markers
    • Strap: Black leather
    • Hour Markers: Classic, more intricate than simple sticks

  1. Longines Master Collection (Ref. L2.893.4.78.3)
    • Size: 40mm
    • Dial: White with guilloché pattern
    • Strap: Black leather
    • Hour Markers: Roman numerals, giving it a traditional but refined look

  1. Frederique Constant Slimline Moonphase (Ref. FC-705S4S6)
    • Size: 40.5mm
    • Dial: White
    • Strap: Black leather
    • Hour Markers: Roman numerals and elegant layout

Let me know if any of these catch your eye!

Thank you for the list Dan, it's much appreciated.
I like the Nomos watches to be honest, and they are a real contender!

The Junghans seems to have stripes/sticks as hour markers, which is one of my criteria, sorry.
The Longines seems a little bit busy for my taste with the dial texture, and I'm not too fond of the dramatic rehaut.
As for the FC, I don't like the brand. They seem to only take watch styles from other brands and make their own 'copies'. I will stay clear of the brand.

The budget is 3k, but it can also be for example 500 EUR such as the Seiko Weekdaters. Although the stick markers seem to appear there again!

I'm sorry if my taste is extremely specific

That’s not a bad answer , AI knows watches now?

I literally pasted your original post into ChatGPT because it seemed like an obvious use case.

The SRPC05J1 or SARY059 seem contenders as well to be fair
