Recommendation for a reputable shop to do a dial and hands swap...

Hi-

I'm looking for a recommendation on a solid place to complete a hands and dial swap on an Omega Speedmaster professional. I'm happy to pay for quality work - I've used a local shop here in Michigan the last time I did a Mitsukoshi conversion and wasn't super pleased.

I have all of the OEM parts - just looking for someone to do the work for me.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Al from Archerwatches would be my personal pick - but in Canada!

+1 for Al doing great work. I know he's been pretty busy as of late though, but if it's just a hand and dial swap he may be able to do it. @Archer

Thanks - I checked with Al before (18 months ago or so) and he said he was too booked up to do just a dial swap. Maybe I'll check again...

Any shops in the US?

I'm looking for someone to do the Mitsukoshi dial and hand swap here in Chicago. One recommended watch maker has gone AWOL on other customers so not sure who's worth asking. Any suggestions?

Sam at afram jewelers in DC is who I will be using when I do mine. Jim from continental jewelers (was a fad) used Sam.

Jack at IWW (see above) does great work, and he is a pleasure to deal with.

Had Jack at IWW regulate my Seiko MM300 a while back. It was brand new with stickers just taken off. I ended up getting the watch back at a reasonable time regulated, but he left a couple of tool mark scratches on the caseback (even though the movement is the front-loading type.) No real biggy but I am disappointed when there's a lack of care in a highly detaiil-oriented field.

Cannot recommend or not recommend him.

Harry at Manfredi in Connecticut was highlighted in an expose by HODINKEE and does great work.

In Seattle area, I had Arc Watch Works & Engraving do a broad arrow hand swap on my 3507 - they did a great job.
