Recently Purchased Omega Constellation 167.005, good deal?

Hey All,

I recently purchased this 167.005, 551 movement constellation for $1,300 USD from an estate sale, watch has been appraised by a gemologist for $2250 USD.

Watch has been serviced and is in almost mint condition, only real damage is a small pimple like dent on the dial above the 9 from a previous service in its life.

Just wanted to get thoughts if this was a good deal or not.

Thanks so much!

not mint with polishing and dial mark, but quite nice overall assuming movement ok with correct SN
Dial mark may be dial foot dent?
Price not bad but not a steal IMO

Edit: BW gemologist valuation is worthless

The dial is attractive, leaving the dent at 9 o’clock aside. It’s a configuration that is less often seen, on top of been a no date version.

The case lets the watch down. It’s quite heavily polished, particularly on the lugs.

The crown is signed but isn’t correct for this reference.

2.2k is largely overvalued amongst collectors I would say. What you paid is probably about where it can go at an auction in the current market I’d say.

Does it matter? You already bought it.
Totally get it, and I do love it. I'm new to watches and jumped at the chance, just wanted to get some feedback if it was an ok deal or not and what I could learn from it.

yes, what really drew me to it was the Semi Arabic numerals. The crown did stand out to me as well, mostly due to it being quite more yellow than the gold cap on the case. I'm new to watches and trying to learn as much as possible. Thanks for all your info. Much Appreciated.

One was sold in Vancouver Canada for more than $2500 usd a few years back. I sold one right here in OF private sale for $2200 usd.
That is the real value if you want to sell it some day.
