1000? Christonabike! I hope you thought his joke was funny!!! :)......A very very nice inheritance. Do your homework, identify each of the models carefully: 4 or the 6 also appear to be in very good condition for collectors to be interested in.. which will also determine price. You definitely want to be selling them separately...
    Dibs on the JLC...... ;)

Your jeweller would be very happy if you were to accept his offer. You would not be if / when you found out the combined value.

    Maybe he meant each!
Otherwise, he's a thief and never set foot there again. Warn the women and children also.
Step back, do some research and give some thought to Grandpa and family memories.
Flip a couple and turn the others into legacies!

    My guess:
    Rolex; 2000
    Citizen bullhead: 400
    Monaco: 2500
    LeCoultre 1200
    Omega seamaster quartz 1000

    closer to 7000 !!

    Classics.
I know amazing but early divers are very sought after.
My hunch is its a 6105. Could be wrong?

There was an 18k early French minute repeater that went through a local auction house a few months ago. I'd talked it over with a friend of mine who really liked it and agreed not to bid on it. He bought it for around £1500 all in. The piece appears to be unsigned and I have told him many times since to get it in to one of the watch makers I use to see if there's a signature under the dial. I can't put across just how good the case is; how fine the decoration; the incredible bridgework on the movement ...

... so, out of interest, he showed it to a "jeweller". The man offered him £350. Said he wouldn't make any money on that because there's just no market for "these old pocket watches" and that his offer was "better than the gold value".

I wonder if these lines ever work on people?

Whether too high or too low I would wager that @uwsearch is closer to the mark already on the listed items than the $1000 offer. Hopefully the responses are enough here to encourage the OP to avoid the initial offer, engage in his own research, but feel free to come back and forth here.

The Rolex and Monaco are legit? That Rolex 3 o'clock marker and the 9? The Monaco just looks off.

Good God. I hope your buddy grabbed it off the counter and ran! My dad took his grandfather's Soo Line RR retirement pocket watch to the local jeweler to get it running again. When he went back in a month to get it, the jeweler told him it was "lost" and dad could have his pick from a junk box. Dad left in a rage, empty handed. Arrrgh.

Another thief preying on the trust of good folk.

If you have details, let us know. These types need to be quarantined. (Is that how you spell castrated?)

Glad he left without some meaningless token.
He left with his honor and carried with him the remains of any honor this thief may have had.
I love your Dad even though we never met!

He told you it was a legit Rolex and still offered you 1k?

That's one sexy JLC he's on crack.

The Seiko is rough but all original in my eyes. Those go for more then you would think.
