Anyone seen this one yet? What a collection and exactly what I wish Talking Watches would always be.

Lovely interview. Clearly passionate and unpretentious collector with an incredibly approachable collection. I wonder if he’s a member here 😗

It's great to see someone who put time and effort into their collection, not just money. Couldn't care less for another celebrity's fifteenth brand new Patek and Rolex

Really nice episode and conversation! You can hear the passion for the watches and history, and not for the bling bling.

Thanks for that

Each watch brand has a history... most are undocumented, unloved and under the radar... with a cult following wishing to keep it that way!
Better no marketing than an overhyped marketing machine using photoshop !

Hi Everyone...

Greg is a good friend of mine... He is a real gentleman. He is one of the few people who make me feel normal.
Best

Like the idea “orphan watch” mentality. It shows how much collaboration there was in the early days, before the quartz crisis.

Pleasant interview . . .

Closes on the Gallet MC-12H . . . EP 40

Too many watches and not enough time to discuss each of them.

I agree, most interesting episode in ages. Not a single Rolex!

Nice to see an interview with a normal guy. Not some pampered celebrity. @JwRosenthal ... was thinking of your collecting philosophy as I watched this.

Greg is unique and loves to share knowledge and his insane collection of un-pampered watches.
Great episode!

One of the most interesting things said by Greg Selch, is that the orphan watches are rare, lesser known, equal or better quality not highly collected. Today there are so many quality brands, but the buying public seems to gravity to only a few brands. People don't know what something is so the value isn't up.

Resurrecting this thread because of the episode drop today where they showed this

Laying down with my cat Philip watching it right now. Pretty good episode so far. Cant recall a connie ever being featured on any of the episodes so it was nice to see.

Probably the first time I have found the pateks interesting in a talking watches episode after Ronnie’s. I am also getting a bit nervous about people in show biz getting into affordable watches - that’s when they tend to become not affordable for the rest of us! Just saying
