Reasons not to buy from Jomashop?

I know about the warranty but, I have a few fakes from Shanghai and downtown L.A. plus a few Invicta $80 autos. The fakes had band problems but when I shake em they still work. Is Warranty important on a 3500$ Speedy? If i'm saving $1500 off retail?

I have never bought anything from them - some around here have, and while some claimed bad experience, others seem satisfied with their experience (and savings)... but I'd say a new Speedy from Jomashop is a better alternative than fakes from Shanghai....:coffee:

I have purchased a watch through Jomashop. It arrived perfectly fine. About 8 months later I had an issue that required a warranty repair through the warranty they provide. I filled out the warranty claim form that is on their site and mailed the watch in. It took approximately 2 months and the watch came back in perfect working order. They didn’t communicate much during the process, but overall the experience has been positive.

Haven't heard of any fake issues from JS, they are an established company...

I don't see gray market as a one size fits all but when you're saving $1,500 and a service costs $750 should the unforeseen happen and you had to pay Omega for a full service you'd still be ahead by $750.

I've bought a new Speedy Pro from member Kringkily as well, and like mdgrwl his offerings come brand new, sealed from the factory, with a stamped warranty card. Both these guys have great reps.

I agree with above mdgrwl comments. My recent purchase from him, a new Seamaster 300 diver blue ceramic, came new with full warranty cards. The cost was just a little more than Jomashop. The factory omega warranty was well worth the extra cost to me.

My Omega from Jomashop has no problems and would deal with them again. You could also look into Chitownwatch.com. They also sell through eBay if you want PayPal protection. I believe he gets his watches internationally, but comes with valid Omega warranty card.

My son bought an Aqua Terra for his wife for Christmas at JS.
Saved a bundle. Watch came flawless and with a full set including
the ribbon. He took the watch package to the Omega boutique here
to have them authenticate, which they did, complimentary. All good.

Do yourself a favour and bin the fakes, once you get the real deal they'll annoy you as much as they do the rest of us.

I'd first go to the above mentioned members. The warranty card is well worth the hundred dollars or so extra you'd spend over JS. I had a great experience with www.watchmaxx.com as well. This was before I learned of this forum and the member/dealers If you go gray market, stick with established dealers.

I purchased a Speedy Pro from Joma last June. I caught it on a sale, with a discount code on top of it. The watch was great and has performed very well and overall I am quite happy and would purchase from them again. My only complaint, was the Speedmaster medallion was not secured well in the box and when I tilted the box a little taking it out of the outer box, it slid down. Luckily, it didn't hit the watch at all which wasn't sealed in a blister.
