Thanks for posting... amazing and interesting man, a regular Indiana Jones of the deep. Gold is rather impervious to salt water so an excellent medal for diving. I have to believe the watch was regularly serviced and pressure tested to maintain water tight seals. I'm surprised Rolex just didn't give him the watch, but instead gave him a discount on the purchase. Good story.
