Another Observation: The Serial is 505.845, which fits into Salas Estimated Production date of 1930-1936 (500.000-600.000).

This number is also missing on my "normal" Mimo Mimometre.

It a very nice private label Mimo.

I’ve seen no evidence that these watches were sold to or by Universal Geneve.

Did a little looking on Mikrolisk

Mimo meter:

Universal Watch:

No connection there between Mimo, Gerard Perregaux or Graef and Universal, Berthoud or Perret. Different locations and dates of founding.

However, I have a theory that may fit. Could it be that Mimo sold movements to Universal that they cased and sold as their own in some markets? That would also explain why we see these movements (all branded Mimo) with other names. Graef sold them to more than one assembler. Calendar watches with a date wheel were certainly not too common in the early 1930’s.

Maybe, maybe not.

This was my theory from the beginning. Mimo or Aster had something innovative, that UW wanted to sell too to their clients. Btw not sure if you ever have been to Switzerland, but LeLocle and LCF are neighbor cities (I assume both were there in 1931 due to mikrolisk)
