Hi, this is my first post here, and first vintage watch I'd like to buy. I found nice Omega Seamaster from 1960 for ~700USD. What bothers me is the "Swiss Made" which doesn't look like it's original (collides a bit with the 6-hour marker). Does it look legit? Please take a look https://ibb.co/dyzLy8 https://ibb.co/jrcjQo https://ibb.co/gMvFWT https://ibb.co/bTUyko Thanks!
Lugs are polished to almost nothing, there's no crystal and the logo looks like it was applied crookedly. Hard pass.
Sorry, you're absolutely right, new members need to learn. Thanks to @connieseamaster for explaining. For the OP, aggressive polishing on a motorized buffing wheel removes material, resulting in the loss of the original shape of the case. You want to find a watch where the lugs still exhibit the original shape. Look for sharp edges between adjoining planes on the lugs and/or bezel - the sharper the better. This one is badly over-polished, with completely rounded lugs. In fact, it is so extreme that the backs of the lugs have been narrowed to a ridge. It's actually pretty unusual to see something that bad.
