Hi, is this an authentic or fake Omega? I have no clue about this type of watch or any other to be honest. This was passed down to me with another watch. I know the bracelet is from a different brand of watch. If it is authentic,is there anything you could tell me about it? Year it was made etc Thanks in advance
Movement is genuine and the case appears to be genuine as well. The dial is refinished poorly. I can't see the serial numbers on the movement, but if I had to guess it is not original to the case making this a Franken watch.
Serial number looks like it begins 104, which would date it to ca 1944/45 and would be correct for this style case. Dial is as noted refinished.
Thankyou, Is it possible to get the dial back to the way it was or is that a daft question? Where do I find the serial number on the movement? Sorry - completely ignorant regarding watches. I know no valuations can be requested or given, but would you sell this as it is or for the genuine parts?
Serial number is here: A much better job could be done on the dial however its not likely to add much value to the watch, which as it sits would probably bring $250-350 in a no reserve eBay auction with decent photos. Value is somewhat dependent on the diameter of the watch.
