Use the information you have (ref #, etc.) and search the web. I would start with completed auctions on eBAY among other searches.
This might yield the information you are looking for. On another note, the smart thing to do would be to figure out these questions before bidding on an item.

The watch is a legit gold filled watch. Basically a thick gold plate.

Dial may be a redial i.e. Redone.

Serial number should be on the movement somewhere and using Google, dating it should be easy.

Seems like a decent price. Looking at past eBay sales should give you an idea of worth.
