Hi! I hope this is okay to post here.

I’ve been given an Omega watch. It came from a house clearance. I don’t know a huge amount about Omega and cannot tell if it’s real or a replica. I personally suspect the latter.

I’ve found a few websites and it appears to have everything in the right place but the colours of the face are reversed and it has Olympic Rings on the rear.

    Can anyone advise?

    Many thanks!

We call those fake's, and not replica's, around here!

Omega did make a monstrosity that looks like that, as they have a penchant for that sort of thing, but it had considerably different subdials.

To my eye it’s as fake as a hooker’s smile.

    Is it indeed a replica?

Well, no it isn't. A replica is defined as an exact copy of something.

This is no replica. It is in fact, an awful conglomeration of features from other Omega models, combined with other bits of "artistic flair" and cooked up into the worst fake (counterfeit) I've seen in the last year.

Truly a horrible piece of shit.

I would take great delight in seeing it under a sledge hammer, repeatedly.

    Perhaps you could entertain us.

Not a fan then mate? Hahaha
Thanks for the feedback, like I said I’m not an Omega person and alarm bells rang when I couldn’t find a pic of anything like it online. It just seemed odd that somebody would fake a model which doesn’t exist.

Send it to me and I'll Youtube its demise.

I'll even send you a real watch as a replacement. (Note: by real, I mean a facsimile watch that works).

You can pick one from these
(my "decoy" collection, always on display on my dresser).
I figure if they get these they'll be happy and piss off and not bother looking for the others.

This is clever. And now I have an excuse to go shopping for a dozen "affordables" plus a nice display box!:D

My father once made the mistake to hide his decoy collection and leave the best watches on his desk. That year there was a brake in and he lost his best watches... Still hurts...::facepalm1::

    Real one.

Notice the 3 o’clock subdial. Correct minute chronograph with regatta markings.

The OP watch has a cheap movement with day of the week on that subdial hence the 7 positions marked.
