Does it hurt a watch to have the hands and dial re-lumed?

Not if it's done by somebody who knows what they're doing. Most collectors prefer the original aged lume though.

Depends on the watch and whether its collectible. If buying a watch to store in a case I would leave it alone, If I were going to use it I would relume or replace the hands

Kind of what I thought, had several serviced not long ago, the Seamaster Soccer Timer was not re-lumed, nor was my Breitling Chronomat. My Zodiac Seawolf did have the hands re-lumed but not the dial. Watch in question is a Zodiac Aerospace GMT. Dial is very very good but the lume on the hands is gone. I plan on wearing it so think I will have the hands at least re-lumed. The watch is marked "T Swiss Made T" am I right in assumeing that means tritium on both the hands and dial?
