I am in love with that piece. I think it looks worse than it is because of the crystal being so rough. Please dont go for that one because I will snipe you ;)

I would add though it has to also be in demand - being rare in and of itself is not enough - it has be be desired.
So if the vintage omega is rare, desirable and mint then that = high marketplace value.
If a piece is common and not desired, doesn't matter how nice the condition is I won't buy it. If a piece is rare, in demand and in shabby condition then I will at least consider it at the right price.

    All yours :)

"Am in love" beats "Am very interested" any day in my book ;)

You're right about the crystal.... I was only wondering about the seconds hand, with that rounded wide end, do you think it's authentic?

So, like a "Magique" is quite rare but the current fashion and style demand for it is not so high, auction price value shouldn't go ballistic, as opposed to, let's say an SM 300 2913/14755 in medium to low condition?

That would be my thinking yes but the SM300s you cited aren't rare enough for me to consider them in medium to low condition. I would only buy those if the condition was very good or better.

    Most welcome :)

I was contemplating it because of the rare 2577/352 RG combination, but I'm not a big fan of the dial printed number fonts. The applied, more "san serif" fonts are more to my liking, like the one just posted. With you would put it in more appreciative hands! ;)

The seconds hand issue might just be me being too focused on things, but I believe the wide end of the seconds hand should be flat... I too would love to get some confirmation about that ::confused2::

352 nice and uncommon. 343 and 333 both with the same regulator and much less common than the 352. The nice ones to have are the jumbo 36mm cal. 352 watches.

Yup... this 2577 is one I'm trying to buy to give my "obscenely" priced (due to an offering mistake on ebay ::facepalm2::) 2518/343 RG sub-seconds watch (posted here earlier) a suitable companion!

Mike, do you have an example of a 36mm cal 352 to show? Do those come in a 2521 case?

Actually, I own one. It's off at service right now and I don't know the case reference but it wears a lot bigger than my 35mm seamsters Ive had. I will post a pic soon

Wow.... nice! I have yet to own me a Seamaster piece with a black seconds hand original to the watch... Now those "I love"!!!

Don't know about the size, though, given my tiny wrist!

Thanks, actually the seconds hand is blue. I did find that it is a 2521 case though by looking through the auction pics.
