Hello guys! I was wondering if someone could explain me why that watch is special? Also estimate would be great. Fell free to ask me questions anytime I’ll try to answer it. I’ll post movement later after I get home from work. Thanks in advance 🙏❤️

It’s a seamaster 166.002 with the uncommon and sought after ‘technical’ dial.

Depending on condition etc around £600-1000

Ok well you have your price range.

Here’s more info although I need to update it to include white dials.

The guy who initially responded to you above is a moderator so it definitely could be a problem…

Thanks and respect to you guys for helping me!❤️ I joined this forum because I saw some post about that watch rarity and I wanted to hear your opinions about it. By the way I have an Ebay account and if anyone would be interested I can post it on marketplace.

Did Omega really just take a sharpie and box out the date window on these technical dials?Unless, of course, I am missing something.

Good catch. Now for the technical dials there are both applied and painted date window boarders but when painted the boarder usually looks indifferent to the OP watch.

So; legit variation? Dial which lost its date surround and was ‘fixed’, excellent redial from Asia?
I’ll try and have a better look tomorrow…

Hard to tell from the photos, but I think the hands have lume. For that dial, shouldn't the original hands have onyx inserts?

I’ll try today evening to take out the movement and take better photos of dail, because the glass is little bit damaged.

Hands look like they have onyx inserts to me, not lume.

I have the same type of dial. Always looked odd to me, but I saw a few others and concluded it was a weird Gen variation.

Sorry for the bad photo. Its been sitting in a drawer needing to be serviced for two years now lol
