·This is one you don’t see often, definitely one of those “look closer” watches! A Rolex datejust in two-tone is a classic, for ALL the reasons, but to find one in rose gold two tone takes it to a whole other level!
SERIAL NUMBER: 2,8XX,XXX
DATE: 1969
DIAL: Just an incredible example - the silver Sunburst dial is beautiful, with stunning rose gold markers and hands to match. A work of art! The hands appear to have some age/were and maybe sealed at some point to prevent lume loss. All of the lume plots are full and match the hands, and all light up evenly under UV signaling it’s all original.
CASE: The 36mm case is in excellent shape, with nice thick lugs, great brushing, and very minimal wear throughout. The star of the show here, the beautiful, rose gold bezel and matching crown shine perfectly! Considering the age, this appears to have been worn very minimally from previous owners, likely as a (very fitting) special occasions watch.
MOVEMENT: The Rolex automatic cal 1570 is working perfectly, having been serviced by a Rolex authorized watchmaker just over two years ago. Winds and sets perfectly, date changes over crisply at midnight, and keeps incredible time within 2 seconds a day!
STRAP: Comes on the pictured lightly worn dark brown Horween shell cordovan leather strap that accents the rose gold perfectly.
ACCESSORIES: Watch and strap as pictured, and will come with the full service paperwork that includes the service done by the watchmaker, and then the accompanying paperwork he received from Rolex, showing the full timing report as well as the pressure test that was done and passed.
Priced at $3595 and that will include 2 day fully insured shipping through FedEx anywhere in the US.
