You thinking of getting it serviced and wearing it?

funny you should say that it was serviced about 5 years ago and the first day I wore it my gfs dog jumped up and ripped it off my wrist so iv never got to wear it. also its stoped working as it had quite a fall. but yes would like to wear it so will most likely send off to get it fixed! again...

if i remember the first time round i sent to omega it was just under 600£ hence i didn't send it back straight away. I have since really forgotten that i had it and recently found it in a nicknack draw

What abouts are you? We have a few watchmakers around the place that are quality independents and tend to be significantly cheaper

It looks like an ST 166.0092 with a cal 1002 movement. These came out in 1971, although your bracelet looks like it is post 1980's.

If you're looking for a reasonably priced UK service then you should contact stefan who is a member here. He's in London & as long as there isn't a postal strike you shouldn't have any problems :).

yea omega gave me the bracelet for the watch. I would be looking to restore it to its original form. would it have once had the yellow band round it? thanks for your help.

They came with either a yellow or a silvered inner ring, I think. Yours is definitely missing the flanged inner ring.

The ones with a yellow ring also had a yellow seconds hand - do you know if the second hand has ever been replaced ?

the hands were never replaced and are the original ones so it must of had a silvered inner ring.

Norm, it looks like the main visual difference is the sunburst graining on the later version. Is that right ?

where it says "- SWISS MADE -" mine just says "SWISS MADE" NO "-" does this mean anything? also mine does not have the fluorescent dots that urs has. do you have the ref for the original bracelet. sorry for the bad pic of mine trying to source a cheap macro lens for my d600.
