I’m selling a very good condition and also very rare Omega Titane 120 Automatic Chronograph Chronometer with the original box and papers. It was fully serviced and pressure tested a couple of weeks ago and it’s running extremely well (there are some pics below with the vibrograph results). I’ll start with the bad bit(s): the Omega box is quite tatty, and well, that’s about it. Now, for the good things: the watch comes boxed with the stamped warranty card (more details below), operating manual, another booklet, the COSC red tag and all the spare links (the bracelet is full with 9 full links and 1 half link). Case: The case is titanium/gold. The diameter without crown is 39-40mm and about 42 with the crown, so it’s a full-size watch in today’s standards. The condition is very good. As you well know, titanium is a softer material than SS. All the marks that you see are just surface scratches which can be very easily polished to a matte finish. The only reason I didn’t do this to the case during the service is because I really like its untouched look. They’re not that visible during wear and they add a bit of character and personality to this really great watch. The case was pressure tested but as with any other vintage(ish) watch I wouldn’t dive with it (I have the G-Shocks and the divers for that). Dial: The watch as a whole is very rare but this dial makes it that much unique. There were 2 variants of this dial: the usual one, completely gray, and this rarer one: grey with gold-edged counters, with luminous hour markers and hands. It’s in fantastic condition, no marks or scratches. The lume is good for a watch this age. Pretty hard to photograph too but looks really great in the flesh. The sapphire crystal is scratch free as you would expect. Movement: It’s a COSC certified, Omega cal. 1154. Running great, resets as it should. As I mentioned in the first paragraph, the watch was just fully serviced, running great; I attached some pics with the accuracy below. Bracelet: Full titanium integrated bracelet, ref. 1485/829. It’s in pretty good condition with very little to no stretch at all, some minor surface scratches which can be polished very easily if wanted. I have all the extra links (9 full + 1 half link) so no matter how thick your wrist is, this watch will do just fine. I googled a bit and found out that the extra links are very hard to find and not cheap either so the fact that it’s full is an extra. The butterfly clasp has a very unique safety mechanism, which also has the Omega logo in gold. The watch was bought from an AD in Munich in Feb. 98 (as you can see from the warranty card pictured below). Naturally, the serial numbers match. I’d like to point out once again that I could’ve given it a very light polish and the watch would’ve looked like new but I really like the character that this titanium piece has and the hundred percent original look. I suspect this specific model was made for the German market only. It really is a very collectible Omega. The price is --1799-- £1599 via normal PayPal (+2.9% please) or PP Gift (Intl Priority shipping included). Lots on feedbacks on the bay and on other watch forums (I’ve got the same nickname on all of them). I will let the pics do the talking now. Sorry for the fingerprints and the reflections. Thanks for looking!
Nope, unfortunately it did not. It was (well, still is) a really good looking watch imo. Certaintly the best looking from the Polaris/Titane range.
