·Helping a friend sell a special watch of his: The Audemars Piguet Dual-time in TANTALUM and steel. The reference is 25730TT/O/0789/01.
Produced circa 1997 in extremely limited quantities. The case is 'No. 95', but exact production numbers are not known. There is very little information publicly available on this reference.
36mm case size in Tantalum and stainless steel. Tantalum is one of the most exclusive materials and is notoriously difficult to work with. Depending on the light, it has a bluish tint. The AP bracelet has the concealed double deployant clasp.
Functions include dual-time zone, self-winding, water-resistance, date, power reserve, and day/night indication.
Includes the original Audemars Piguet box and booklets.
The watch came to my friend after a long, 2 year search that finally ended in Taiwan.
He stated “I had to hire a translator as communication was not going well. Finally convinced him that I was genuinely interested in buying. He finally said ‘ok’ but with one condition, that I had an address for him to ship it within Taiwan. So I started a hunt for a friend to see if anyone had contacts there. Found one and was able to do the transaction. 30 days later it was on my wrist.”
The watch is located in NYC for viewing.
