·For sale is my extremely rare 1988 Omega Speedmaster Chronograph ref 345.0808 "First Execution" that features the beautiful copper cal 863!
This is the first steel model fitted with a display back (also known as ref 3352 B), part of a limited series of only 1000 pieces (and is individually numbered on the case back and between the lugs.
Edition number 09XX is clearly visible in both locations. The movement serial is 481698XX. Movement numbers for this reference must be between 48169000 and 48169999.
The watch is being sold on the original 1450/808 bracelet, which itself is relatively hard to find.
As described by Moonwatchonly, this is part of the 'Fab 80's Trilogy' along with the SpeedyMoon and Holy Grail Speedmaster. Read more: http://www.moonwatchonly.com/omega-...iews/the-first-steel-model-with-display-back/
Overall condition is absolutely excellent. The bezel is gorgeous and has a beautiful gray fade to it. Dial is original tritium with matching tritium hands - both in outstanding condition with rich yellow patina.
This watch is special to me and I have owned it for about 3 years, but it is hardly getting worn these days so I figured I would post it to fund something that I will wear a bit more.
The pictures do not do the watch justice!
With these watches rarely coming up for sale and due to the overall condition, I am asking $11,850. I have seen others sell for less, but they have had service dials, bezels, hands, etc. or were badly polished. If you do not like my price, feel free to make an offer or let me know what you have for trade.
Located in NYC for local inspection. Thanks for looking!
