So I got bored tonight and decided swap around a few of my straps. I put the bracelet from my 8500 Aqua Terra 41.5mm on my bond smp 2531.80. I don't hate it. The bracelet fits pretty perfectly. I never liked the bond bracelet and I don't own the seamaster 930 bracelet commonly seen on the 2254. I lik the look of the 930 bracelet the best so I thought I would make due and try out my Aqua Terra bracelet. Let me know what you think? I then put a grey NATO strap on my Aqua Terra (never thought I would ever take this watch off the bracelet because it is so perfect). Surprisingly I don't hate it. Def dresses it down (a lot) but I think it looks pretty good. Again what does everyone think?
That Aqua Terra bracelet also works surprisingly well on a modern (cal. 1861) Speedmaster and is reminiscent of some of the flat-link bracelets that came with early Speedies.
The watch looks different with the AT bracelet and I think it looks OK to me. I bet the bracelet is lighter than the Bond.
They both look good to me! I agree, the seamaster bracelet leaves something to be desired. It's just so 90s looking…mine is tucked far away in the box.
I really wish that Omega would take the bracelet from the new Mark II and put some curved end links on it. Thereby making a modern 1171.
