Hi! So, I immediately fell in love with the Ranchero as soon as I discovered it. Just bought one (chrono24), after having done some research here in past threads. The dial is refurbished, the seller told me. I kind of like it this way, grey instead of radium-colored. Anyway, the minute hand: the luminous area should be triangular shaped, right? 1. Completely wrong minute hand? 2. Ranchero minute hand, but wrong ”kind” of ranchero? I’ve seen some (late?) rancheros with two dauphine hands, with the minute hand shaped like this. (Were two dauphine hand rancheros produced at all?) 3. Correct hand? Any chance the luminous area was triangular before while still being radium filled? I guess not. Movement nr is 1636xxxx. Any ideas? Thanks!! /Johan
ranchero counts as the fourth musketeer belonging to the holy trilogy so i would never accept one with no broad arrows. if possible send the watch back and buy a real one ....
Ok, thanks!!! Just curious, did Omega produce any rancheros with two dauphine hands (not broad arrows)? /Johan
Can I ask why you believe this dial is an aftermarket/counterfeit one ? .... and the same question to @X350 XJR ?
The dial is new produced in my opinion, you can by them on eBay. You can se on the back of the dial is new made https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/114184913348?ul_noapp=truePurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Certainly very similar, pity photo quality isn’t better to really judge. Interesting that the lume is painted grey, what’s your thoughts on that ?
Like I said the photo may be a bit misleading but the script certainly looks a little thicker than it should. However it is the colour of the indexes that interests me as I believe that white Rancheros ( some if not all ) originally had GREY lume when they left the factory. It seems strange that these aftermarket/counterfeit dials have grey indexes not tan/brown don’t you think ?
