    Well the case is real, and the movement is right for a Ranchero. As far as the dial, pictures are not great, so I would wait until Mike looks at it, he knows these watches.

    Actually the case is NOT correct.

    The case ref is correct but the back is not. The Ranchero cases 2990 and 2996 have a unique back design with a flange which presses into the case, this one is a regular snap back.

    Here is a correct back.

    What about the dial Norm, can you tell if it is genuine original?

    My gut would say if the case is a counterfeit the rest of it is as well, including the dial.

    I unknowingly bought a nearly identical watch many years ago, before I knew better and before there were forums like this.

    As in fully counterfeit, not just another Omega modified to look like a Ranchero?
