Not a model I'm particularly familiar with so would like some more expert opinions.
I Posted it more with the intention of getting some opinions on it. It's not really my sort of watch, but I'm always interested in learning more about Omega and there back catalogue.
This one just went for AUD $1425 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NICE-amp...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Is this the same watch that the guy bought real cheap started to ask everyone about info on it, then wanted to sell it at a 10X's mark up? Sorry, if it's not just remember a story like that, and looks like the same watch.
One of the telltale signs on the Ranchero dial is the recessed sub dial. 99.9% of the fakes will not have this unique feature. Wayne
Y Yep, I saw the warning signs and was surprised it went for so long, either some poor bastard got stiffed or the seller shilled it and it'll appear again later. The latter I hope, then I can report it. The Rancheros are becoming a real minefield as the re-dialers figure out they are worth much more than an ordinary Omega
Thieves are counterfieting them all. Constellations, SM300, etc. i actually think the Ranchero counterfeits are easier to spot because the dial is so complex and unique. Same with the hands. Movement has to fall in certain serial range , etc. Lots to get "right"
