So I picked this one up a couple of days ago. I was surprised at how smooth the chrono operation was - better in my subjective opinion than my modern EP. If this is representative, I'm a fan.

However, the dial though a cult classic still has not grown on me (the font on the arabic numerals on the dial is really bugging me). Do all the Rainbows share the same movement?

The Rainbow Flyback is a caliber 405. I believe the others in the Rainbow line (which do not share that complication) are caliber 400. If you like the flyback function but not the color, there is a black-dialled version.

Everyone should wear a Rainbow in honor of Captain Noah's passing.

Varies quite widely depending on the specific reference and, as you might expect, the condition. Box and papers are an additional premium.

For an average example, as the OP's, probably in the US$2-2.5k range, a NOS full set nearer US$4k, perhaps more if someone really wants it.

A sampling sold recently the 'bay...

Silly question - are all rainbows "fly backs", or just the ones where it's printed on the dial?

So I am not sure if Caliber 405 has particularly smooth chrono operation, or it's just my example. But my modern Caliber 469 EP, bought new does not feel as nice while operating the pushers

    These Rainbows I really like:
