Speedy circa £15k and Railmaster circa £21-£23k. Just noticed a ding on the Speedy bezel between 2 and 3pm.

Hi,
as you can see there are substancial doubts about the originality of the Speedy EW esp. dial Issues. The case have also be stated as polished. IMO a Speedy 105.003 with relumed dial (and hands) is far away from GBP 15 k, I am unable to evaluate because I never go for those.
Sorry and good hunting !
P.S. the railmaster looks nice and should be the prefered target imo

If I were you, I will take the Railmaster first, especially it is a Ref. 2914-1, which is the first issue. It is the rarest of all subsequent railmasters. IMO

If funds did not matter I would take the Railmaster just because it is a slash -1, not because of the condition,
I don´t like the dial but this could be changed later in case you found a better one

but: not at this horrendous price! Half of that would be just right IMHO commensurate with the condition

Think of Mike´s RM (@MSNWatch) with the beautiful lume colour and you know what I mean...

The Speedmaster is my favorite watch, but this example does not look £15k (reluming of the hands is no biggie to me but a relumed dial would be much more problematic, the case is the biggest issue, you can't really replace it easily...). The Railmaster is so rare that price matters a bit less, so I would go with the 2914.
Then again, it depends on your taste

I feel that the speedy’s hand and dial might’ve been relumed.
Through a loupe I was not sure about the finish on the hands. You may we'll be correct and as a couple of members have now pointed this out, I would be inclined to go along with that. Thanks.

My taste is both although Speedmaster nudges it

Thanks very much for the replies. I do now think the Railmaster (being the rarer option) would be the one to go for. Price is an obstacle though and I agree the dial could be better.

You can't expect much more help without more pictures. Ask for more on the railmaster and share 'em. How negotiable is the dealer?

Railmaster, take the road less travelled and be a bit unique, I absolutely love those watches and eventually want to own a CK2914 as well as the modern re-edition they just made as a daily beater.

You're right, but I'm going to pass so won't be asking for any more photos.
Not very negotiable <10%

23 GBP for the RM, though it is claimed to be one owner, all original and includes 7077/6.... But yeah, not cheap!
