+1 looks like mine too. Don't worry about it saying "Seamaster" on the back, they all did as Omega were too stingy to manufacture a proper version of the back.

Be aware that this watch - the 42mm version anyway - looks very big on your wrist compared to other watches of a similar size. The large dial and narrow angled bezel does it I think.

It has the earlier 2 level 2403 co-axial movement (basically the 2500 without a date).

One of, if not the best designs that Omega came up with in the category "modern" watches as opposed to vintage. Shame they discontinued it, but I guess the market demands at least a date display these days.

That strap is the wrong size but I'm sure you would change it anyway. Ideally needs to be 21mm although a much easier to find 22mm can be adapted very neatly with care.

    Great deployment clasp.

Looks OK to me. 39mm or 43mm?

    My 39mm suits me perfectly.

Looks fine to me too. . I had one a fex years ago and regret i Had to sell it :( that's one of the coolest watches I owned.
took my 2005 catalogue and the ref are :
    2802 53 37 for the 39mm
    2802 52 37 for the 42mm
    if it can help
check that the SN on the lug is the same as the movement on the balance bridge. the original strap was a brown croc with white stitches.
If you pay less than 1500 dollars it's a fair deal.

I think its 2803.52 for the 39mm with leather strap...which has 20mm lugs
I think you'd be very lucky to find one at $2,000 these days...$1500 would be pretty unheard of I think...Going price seems to be about $2500 for the 39mm.

Haven't heard back from the seller so maybe it's gone. It would've been a great pick up too because he was selling for $1400. He advertised it as the 39mm but I can't tell from the pictures. If He happens to get back me I'll be sure to post pictures. Otherwise back to the hunt. Thanks for help everyone.

Yeah, I wish I came across them more often. I think it was probably to good to be true.

The picture was of a 42mm with 21mm lugs. Compare it to the watch pictured by JiminOz which has much better dial/case/bezel proportions IMO. One day I'll probably try to trade my 42mm for a 39mm, but I just had it expensively serviced...

Let us know how you get on - especially if you find anything anywhere near that price, which seemed far too good even factoring in that it would probably need a service.

Get ready for vintage Railmasters to spike in price.

yeah, I keep hoping for the same thing, but I picked up a nice 39mm modern version, just in case we're in for another disappointment.

Is this just conjecture or confirmed?

The hardest one to find is the 36mm version, especially with bracelet. I had a strapped version once...it was very nice, but the 39mm fits my 7.25" wrist a bit better.

I can't confirm that the vintage Railmasters will spike in price...

I can Confirm that 2017 is the 60th anniversary of the Railmaster.

As for the Re-issue.... I do not have the authority to confirm...
