This is a ref 2777 with the Fat Arrow dial. The movement should be a calibre 283 and the serial number should start with a 1, not 277 (my guess is you are referring to the case reference number inside the back). According to multiple sources 5900 were delivered to the RAF.

In the grand scheme of the Omega world I would consider it to be an uncommon watch, but definitely not rare. The value will depend on a number of factors such as condition of movement, type of dial (fat or thin arrow) and presence of all parts (antimagnetic cover and retention ring). For a complete FA dial I have seen prices range from 1400 to 2400 $ or the past several years.

was made only in 1953. not 1949. numbers are correct. original dial (thin arrow): expensive. fat arrow: many, many; not expensive . ( around euro 900, if in good condition) this is the role model for the later Railmaster line. the first experimental Railmasters even shared the same 1953 amag. cases.kind regards. achim

That price a bit on the low side - if you had 10 of these for sale all in good condition at 900 Euro each I would buy all 10!
