If there were any sub-atomic cities, given the scale of the fibers you removed it was probably a whole damn galaxy you destroyed. You're welcome.
Usually need a stain to view fungus properly, such as lactophenol blue. And if it were a mold-form fungus it is best viewed under a negative pressure hood to minimize risk of inhalation. fwiw
Well yes you'd have to prepare a slide for viewing and various agents are available to optimize viewing under the scope. Often a sample placed on a drop of distilled water on a slide followed by a cover slip should suffice to visualize many types of hyphae using a proper light microscope. Sample collection should ideally be done under a hood but collecting the sample outdoors helps to reduce risk of exposure and spread. If one wants to more thoroughly characterize the material while avoiding exposure then send the watch for lab analysis.
Or buy yourself an electron microscope so you can really zoom in on those suckers! $100k of equipment to analyze a $400 watch...yup, sounds like Omega Forum to me!
$400 with or without the growth? Because I still haven't cleaned it and your number makes me want to part ways with it. What say ye, great hive mind. Clean or leave it for the Great Fungus Craze of 2022 when there is a shortage of these models at your local AD.
I would try to remove it if you could- let it sit under the UV for a while and let it cook. The lume on that one is really pretty- you’ll be pressed to find one in that condition again for cheap money.
