1 owner watches are always fun because of the story. This Racine was purchased in 1964 when the original owner started his flight training. He wore the watch for 30+ years of flying, logging 752 hours, and the watch never let him down...a true tool watch! Case: 35.84mm stainless screwback case by Gallet with sharp lines, appears to be unpolished. Dial: Overall nice condition with original tritium lume. The upper right portion of the dial has some discoloration as pictured. Movement: Valjoux 7730 marked Gallet that is clean to the eye, but definitely needs a service. Watch runs fine when flat on a table, over 24hrs it lost about a minute, but when worn on the wrist then it starts and stops intermittently. Chrono runs and resets to zero perfectly. Crown appears to be a replacement, and is a bit loose. Last service mark is 1993. Crystal/Pushers/Hands: crystal is in great shape. Hands are dark blued steel with very dark lume patina. Pushers function fine. Overall a nice chrono that with a service and cleaning will be a great piece to have. Asking $650 shipped in the CONUS, head only. PM or email watchknut AT gmail.com.
