Well, first off the part you have is completely rusted, so I would likely not use it at all. If it was a recent purchase, I would send it back for a refund if you can.

What part is it that you think this is compatible with on a Cal. 861? Generally speaking these parts are not interchangeable, so this can't be used in the 861. If it's the winding pinion, the part you need is 860 1108.
