    RIP NASA astronaut William Bill Anders
    2024, June 7, former NASA astronaut Major General USAF Reserve William "Bill" Anders died in a plane in Washington state, aged 90. (1933 Oct 17 - 2024 Jun 7)
    USAF test pilot William Anders was selected a NASA astronaut in 1963 and flew as Lunar Module Pilot during Apollo 8 in December 1968.

    90 years old and still piloting…. Impressive, most blokes that age won’t even fly as a passenger, in fact most of the poor old buggers probably couldn’t even climb into the plane!

    That crash was wild! Dude was nose-diving. Looks like he was either suddenly incapacitated at the controls or some sort of major flight control surface malfunction/failure. Maybe even suicide.
