    Well compared to what?
They seem to be nearly new specialists, and Rolex.
    So they have a point.
I bet for every Omega buyer they have 20 Rolex buyers
    Another reason to like Omega

Opinions are like assholes - everyone has one and they all stink. :p

If he says it isn't desireable, then beat him down on price to take it off his hands. :D

Just had a brief look through their Speedmasters, the oldest they have is 1996, they just wouldn't know as they don't really do vintage, even their oldest Rolex sub is 16800 from the 80s.

Sorry guys I should have made my post a little bit clearer his statement wasn’t regarding their stock of omega watches, it was regarding the speedmaster moon watch not being desirable . again sorry for the confusion

Tell him to call you whenever he happens across an undesirable premoon speedy.

I managed to grab a 105.003 Ed White off them about three years ago for GBP 1,600. It was listed on their website and also eBay as a BIN listing, where I first spotted it. It was, by a long margin, their cheapest Speedmaster at the time. Pretty sure I got a further 100 quid off for signing up to their newsletter too.
You don't get great photos or descriptions that us vintage collectors would rate very highly but it could be worth checking their stock out every now and then.
I'd suggest you seriously consider getting them to ship anything directly to you "as is" and kindly decline their watchmakers service/polish as I highly doubt it would be sympathetic to our respect for originality. ;)
