... for the UG gurus on here. Did Universal Geneve ever make a sterile dial dress watch? I'm trying to work out if this is correct or if it's an old re-dial. Here's the photos and thanks in advance ...

 

in the UG ebay thread someone else just posted an "anon" rectangular UG, although I assume it's a redial. I tend to think that UG would not release unbranded dials, but I am not an expert, especially not on 3 handers, especially not on rectangular, and especially not on black dials !! Its a sub sub sub specialty.
But I do have a gilt black dial one myself, this is the only pic I have on hand, can try to post something clearer later, I think mine has swiss on the bottom but I can't remember for sure.......

I like it. The case is 18ct, fully stamped, 1934 (I think, I saw so many this afternoon that I might have to double check that). The dial is pure wabi in person ... but there didn't seem to be even a hint of a name on the dial. I'm trying to decide if I like it at £600 ... which is where I think it will be.

 

what does the case look like, just out of curiosity?

pretty cool case. I'm not sure I would be confident enough on the dial to pay 600 pounds myself.....

 

That's what's bugging me. And it's bugging me enough for me to be thinking about it at 11pm. The reserve is £375 ... it'll most likely do much more.
