I'm just looking at one of this weekend's pick-ups. Let's be totally honest here, I bought it for the bracelet and endlinks but the watch itself is pretty nice. It's a Seamaster 600 dating to around 1964. The dial's a little unusual having arabic numerals all round, though it also has a few age spots. Nothing too detrimental when you look past the marked (but original) glass. The thing's in a bit of a state but ... we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We can make him better than he was. Anyway, the crown's a replacement and it doesn't look like I have anything correct in my little box-o-bits so I was hoping someone could tell me a part number; dimensions; or, even just upload a photo of the correct crown? We all love pictures, so here's the watch... complete with plenty of owner's DNA:
Thank you. Everyone spotted that bracelet. I drove out the phone bidder at £850 but someone on the interweb still wanted it. I saw it from the first thumbnail in the online catalogue. It wasn't a cheap buy at all but I think the only reason it didn't go higher was because five of the links were hidden inside the clasp and the photos all focussed on the watch head.
Thanks - that''ll be the size then. Obviously it's the later style... time to start digging for an original!
