·Hello, is there a sorting (beside the 2 first digits telling us the production year of the movement) within the serial numbers of the movements?
Could you in this way for example get an idea of how many of a certain movement (or even watches) have been made? Are the movements for a certain watch made successively or random?
I am asking because I tried to find out for my latest (not planned ) purchase how many in general have been made. While doing this I found another watch like mine with a serial number 60 digits “away” from mine.
