Questionable Omega Seamaster - is it real?

The caseback, obviously, is not real. Does anyone know if the rest of the watch is? I won the auction bur haven't paid yet. Just found out the caseback is fake but the rest of the watch looks okay. Any suggestions would be appreciated! I asked for movement pictures, but haven't received them yet. That'll be the giveaway but I'm clearly not the best at this.

Dodgy as a 9 Bob note. No genuine factory omega has the marks in the outside like that as you seem to know. Fonts are close but not right. It’s a fake.

I gotta bridge up for sale, if you have an interest.::facepalm1::

Spend the next month or two just looking at original Omega examples here on the Forum.

Fake, or more truthfully, a counterfeit.

I'm betting the movement is an AS1130.

I’ll take that bet. I suggest it has a FHF movement of some kind. I’ve seen that case before.

I was talking about this ref. I don't know where the gold hallmark is as there are mainly gold plated one.

Fair enough. It was the gold purity marks I was really pointing at. Those are uniformly on the inside. Though you do occasionally see some lesser marks on lugs etc. There might be some local production that bends the rules maybe but not the Swiss stuff.

Yes I do agree. I think Portugal use to stamp them on one of the lug in a pretty nasty way.
