Hello all, I recently bought this gold Omega Speedmaster Professional 345.0802. It was produced on 26/11/1980 and delivered to Germany according to Omega's archives. It is No. A063 (approx 300 made in total) and was produced between 1980-1988. Moonwatch Only assumes that approx half of this number went to Germany. I fell in love with this watch after I'd seen it on the wrist of astronaut General Thomas P. Stafford earlier this year (did a little article on that here: http://www.fratellowatches.com/astronauts-speedmaster/ with a few more pictures of the same 345.0802 Speedmaster Pro). However, what I can't figure out is which box this watch came with. I bought the watch only, no box or papers (except 2010 service papers). I would love to see if I can get the original box from somewhere, but I'd need to know in which box this watch was delivered. Anyone has an idea? Thanks. (photos below taken by Kristian Haagen, during our mutual visit to a watch brand last week) RJ
Hello, I have seen 2 different boxes with that reference, but cannot certify that they are original. that linked here (http://www.antiquorum.com/catalog/lots/omega-lot-177-133?page=2&q=omega) and the other one is in leather and opens in 3 parts. On Omega invoices, I noted that sometimes it was written reference 1410 for the box.
Thanks! I will have a look at those 1410 boxes. The other one, mentioned in the AQ auction I've seen, but never actually saw one.
