Although many watches of this era and earlier have undergone replacement with service crowns, I am curious if the crown on this example is original. All the crown examples I’ve seen on this model don’t have a beveled crown.
No. Certainly not correct for this model and I'm not entirely sure it's even a genuine one. Should have a much smaller finely serrated one.
Rasputin My bracelet is 1162/1/172 end links. I purchased this new in 1973. The original SS bracelet was uncomfortable, and the Omega AD replaced it with this one. I believe the correct bracelet looks like this but is model 1170 (discontinued) with end link 604. As the AD didn't have the curved end link 604, he had the straight end link (172). You can view the proper bracelet by searching this forum for the thread from Albertwii81 "Thoughts of Omega Seamaster 168.034 cal 751." His bracelet looks the same as mine but he has the 604 end link. Scroll down that thread & you'll see the difference in the Omega emblems between his bracelet,1170/604, and mine 1162/172 end link. Hope this helps
Thanks @Acidstain and @eyedoc751. Does anyone know the part number/name that secures the movement ring to the case?
