    Hi guys,
I have been looking at Connie (PiePan) dials and found 2 different types, see pictures below. Just wonder why they are different? The second picture have the stepping thing on the edge of the dial, the first one doesn't have it. I have been told that the second one is made for the newer Connie with dogleg lug, is that correct? Are they the same size and can the 2 types replace each other?
    Regards

Regarding those 2 dials - not interchangeable - they are physically different with the 2nd one being a date version and the first one non-date.

The dials have to match not just the movement but also the case (due to both dial diameter with 27 and 29mm being the most common sizes but also due to actual dial shape - domed or flat, date or non-date). There are also some other subtle differences that need to be taken into account such as radium vs tritium markers for some of the transition models. Then of course there is also the matter of the hands matching the movement and the dial correctly and the markers correctly matching the case.

There is Desmond's site but don't know if it will go into the kind of dial details that you may be looking for.
