A bit of a random question, but I’m hoping any fellow Speedy ‘57 owners out there can confirm if their oak box came with or without a removable travel box insert?

I’m selling mine to a fellow collector, and his AD told him the box should have the removable case. Mine does not… the flap opens up and looks similar, but the insert is fixed.

I haven’t been able to find an unboxing online that shows the travel case, but want to be sure so I can set my buyer’s mind at ease.

Mine is the sandwich dial reference:

Cheers!

I bought the blue reference a few months ago from an Omega boutique. My watch box is the same as yours with no travel case included. Hope this helps!

Many thanks for confirming that! I wonder if maybe they’ve updated the box recently… Omega being Omega, I guess 😉

Omega has updated the box recently, but I’m sure there are a lot of old boxes at dealers and they are using those first. Most dealers (even boutiques) don’t worry about getting the “right” box, unless it’s a limited edition or the Moonwatch.

Mine was last summer straight from Omega to the AD to me (all the original Omega packaging included) and it didn’t have the travel case.
