Please tell me if you had seen this crest before. It is most similar to that of Jordan but I am told the writing
    below says Kuwait.

Looks like a Jordan coat of arms, nothing like a Kuwait coat of arms.

I'll ask my Kuwaiti friends if they know why
Do you have a date for the watch?

Ok it's the Kuwait emblem from before 1962. I verified it for you. In 1962 they changed it when they left the British empire. I was wrong in my first post.

Thank you. This is why I could not find it easily on the Internet.
Can you please send me a link if you have one?

Some sources say that emblem goes to 1962 when they left British rule. Oddly you would think there was more data for this.

So could you please ask your Kuwaiti friends what is their opinion on such dials? Would it be safe to assume that some official governmental body ordered such watches? I cannot hardly see an individual contacting the Movado company with such a request.

    Freudian slip? (Omega?)
Happy to help and I'll see what I can do
But you'll have to give me some time -nothing ever happens quickly in Kuwait!
Any back story to the watch that might help?
    Where it was acquired etc
Also calling @Omegamania321 for possible inside info?

The bracelet was most likely made in Kuwait. The color matches perfectly.

Yes it was a slip, may be not Freudian ... ;)

I speak Arabic - and am half Jordanian.

Definitely not a Jordanian crest of any sort.

Definitely says Kuwait on the dial.

Can't tell you much more than that I'm afraid.

Okay - so I've got somebody working on it
They don't know personally (born in the 60s) but will ask someone "who should know"
But as I said you have to be patient
I'll report back if I find anything out

Not too much additional info I'm afraid but this was the reply I got today

"it was designed for the royal family to be offer as a gifts to people on national occasions and others"
