For those of you with an Aqua Terra on a stainless steel bracelet - have you had any scratches on your sapphire crystal display back from it being in contact with the stainless steel bracelet?

They don’t touch... unless you mean laying it down face up... sapphires pretty resistant to scratches you have to hit it hard.

I have the AT blue dial. I don't wear it very often and did not even realize it had a sapphire case back (totally forgot). I have owned mine 3+ years. No scratches.

I never seen a back sapphire scratched. I own several models with back sapphire and no scratches at all and for many years..

I wear mine daily and take it off every night. No scratches in almost two years.

Thanks everyone, that's reassuring... I just got a new Aqua Terra and the back sticker is still on the sapphire crystal as I've been afraid to pull it off haha. Time to get rid of it and fully enjoy the watch.

    Lovely watch.
Glad you didn't get the latest version. If you're really worried about scratches on the back, just get a watch cushion and clip it around that when you aren't wearing it. Even better, try it on a good quality brown alligator.

Interesting comment. Why the downer on the new version. I'm thinking of a Aqua Terra for my next purchase (little way off yet). Just interested, is it personal preference of am I missing something?

Purely personal preference. Prefer the vertical rather than horizontal line texture, and have a general dislike for watches with the date at 6. YMMV.
My favourite AT is actually the slightly different one which came out after paging_dr's version in the picture; the first "master co-axial" version, and without the date window surround. Could not get to like the shiny bracelet centre links and the butterfly type clasp though, which is why it's now on a leather strap + Omega deployment clasp.

Was with you one hundred percent as regards vertical vs horizontal and date position until I visited the A.D. last weekend and I have to say I have totally changed my opinion.

I saw the silver dialed with blue hands today. Gorgeous watch!
