    Dear Community,

I have seen now several SM 300 Ref 165.024 dating around 1966-1968 sometimes with sword hands and sometimes with straight hands... Are now both kind of hands corret for the 165.024?
Thanks for your time and input and happy easter!
    Cheers

    Alex

You are referencing "baton hands" for the straight hands. The other "normal" (more common) hands are the sword hands. Baton hands are considerably rarer and tend to command a premium on the vintage market if they are indeed original.

Edit: so yes, baton hands are original to some of the SM300 models.

No need to apologize! The correct terminology will help you with your searches which is why I pointed it out. :)

    Hi everyone

Happy for this post since I was asking the same...

Just pick up this one from the original owner... the serial is 24.7M I think

Baton hands and crown that seems correct... just I cannot find the small omega logo in the plexi glass... should have it right?

@brunik the lack of a logo on the crystal indicates that the crystal on the watch is aftermarket and not OME. That's fairly standard with those I believe. During the last service the watchmaker probably swapped the beat up Omega crystal for a new generic one.
