Hello, Can someone tell me more about my new old Omega? It's the old watch of my wifes Grandpa. Perhaps someone knows how old the watch is and what the current price is? And some more details good to know? Thank you Hendrik
Looks to be an old omega Geneve. Sorry to state the obvious but any chance for more pictures, namely the inside of the case back? My guess is 70s. Value largely depends whether it is solid gold or gold filled.
Hi @HendrikHH Why 1 photo of Grandpa in- Law's Omega Vintage Geneva 34 mm ATM 3 Automatic ?The watch has a non chronometer certified but high grade Cal 552 movement 24 jewels Ref 165 .xxx 1 means Mens watch 6 means Automatic ( 3 = Manual ) 5 means water resistant without calender The serial number & the Omega factory logo is on the inside of the stainless steel screw back case. Example Manufactured ....somewhere... Hmmmm.....circa 1968 --1970 but i think @cimo is right more like a 1970 thinghy & more likely gold filled rather than solid gold Price.. ???? Hmmm.... I got an idea of the market value of a gold plated or solid gold Omega Geneva but i wont tell you ! Just keep it as a family heirloom ok ?
