You guys have killed me, I need to get a speedy Pro... If I am going to do it, I might as well get a birth year one right? So I found this 76, but to be honest I am not massively up on the prices in that time period. To me the hands and face look original but the pics show what might be a very tired/very very tired case, but the mechanism looks pretty good. The chrono pushers are at different heights but I think that was normal in this time period? Movement serial looks like a 39xxxxx which places it as a 79 but the caseback is stamped 76. My feeling is pass even if the price looks decent maybe a tad high for that case? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-Speed...600350?hash=item33b1d10f9e:g:eQsAAOSwo6lWI~8IPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Trust your judgement Price is truely irrelevant with a c**p case like that. Heaven only knows whats going on with the pushers etc Run a mile and do not buy under any circumstances Cheers paul
I'd say if you were looking for a watch produced in 1976, you'd be better off looking for a high-serial 145.022-74. Besides, I'd only pay that kind of money for a really good -76 anyway.
Pricing seems high, even if the watch was in good condition. I had great experience dealing with one of the sellers on the sales section of the forum (KRLYUZH). There are many others that are honest and reliable on there as well. Perhaps a good place to look?
The OP watch would be good, for about $1800 - 2000 The case is overpolished, but the rest is nicely aged and the bezel is correct and not bad. It has an overrall attraction - at the right price. The thing is its 800-1000 overpriced IMHO
