Quartz Seamaster Diver 300M: Looking for list of references

Would like to compare the different models of the “Quartz only” version of the seamaster diver 300M watches out there (only Bond watches, not the pre bond era).

One factor that is important for me is the weight (the lighter the better).

Another is the mercedes arm looks interesting, but this is not a must, would like to know on which models it is available.

Would love to have a micro-adjustable clasp but not at the expense of extra weight. So this is a nice to have.

Lastly, the wave dial is a must (plain dial is a no-go for me). And likely the black version not the blue will be my pick.

Is there an comprehensive list out there (like a spreadsheet 😀) with columns showing: year of issuance, reference number, weight, etc. ?

Thanks in advance for any guidance!

The Mercedes hands were only on the Pre-Bond Seamaster Pro. They have never been on the "Bond" Seamasters. So you can cross that off as an option.

Your best bet for a list of all the 300m quartz variants is to play around with the following, it is pretty comprehensive though maybe not complete.

https://watchbase.com/search#q=seamaster 300m quartz

You wont find exact weight figures anywhere, but most of these will be very similar. There may be some variance between the Blake/Sword hands models and the Bond/skeleton hands models but not much between the individual watches within a category. That statement ignores metal differences though as there are full titanium or gold versions and also versions with bezels of differing metals. The full gold is very heavy, the titanium very light, the rest in between!

You wont find any clasp adjustability on any SMP as standard up until at least 2018. I think the very latest have it but those are not my area of interest.

Year of issuance varies. The first quartz models were circa 1994, the last in the skinny cases and wave dials circa 2011-12, with a lume material change in 1998. It is easy to identify the year of some models, others trickier.

Though there are hundreds of SMP variants, depending on the market you are in, you will probably find only a handful are in plentiful supply as some models were limited to Japan or the US or Europe or wherever so you maybe need to keep an open mind. The 2265, 2541 and 2264 are probably the most numerous and easy to find quartz models but as I say that rather depends on where you are.

You should consider the Autos by the way, there are some lovely variants that are Auto only...
