Put BCL glidelock on my Batman

I sourced a brushed center link (BCL) glidelock bracelet for my BLNR Batman because I have fallen in love with the glidelock. No polished center link (PCL) glidelock clasp, so I thought I would give this a try. I think I like the look of the PCL's better on the BLNR. May have to find someone to polish the center of the glidelock so I can have the best of both worlds (IMHO).

I have not been a big fan of PCLs on ATs, or the Seamaster 300MC...but I do think they go well with the glossy ceramic dial of the BLNR.

I'm not a fan of the PCLs on the GMTc. I think it loses some of its heritage as a tool watch. I think the BCL glidelock Oyster looks great on that watch and as it should have been from the factory!

I like the PCL look, gives it a different aspect that catches your eye.

I used to think the same way until I purchased my BLNR. I just think the ceramic bezel and dial are too shiny for a brushed bracelet. I really don't think of my BLNR as a tool watch, more as a business casual watch...the tool watch roles I leave for my Explorer / Explorer 2. Previous gen of the GMT (16710) with the aluminum bezel...that certainly looks better without a shiny bracelet:)

I like the brushed bracelet way better than the PCL bracelet.

Polished or not seems to be purely subjective and based on taste. Might be a plus for some people/situations and a minus in other occasions.

I heard the GlideLock is brilliant tho, that's what made me go with a Sub deposit (still waiting for it), so I can see why people might want them. The GMT was nice tho, but didn't feel like getting into the hassle of finding/changing bracelets and clasps.

My fear with the PCL when I bought my GMT Master 2 is now realized. They are scratch magnets. Since I wear mine quite frequently, they are looking a tad rough. I do like the look with the ceramic bezel though. Guess Rolex will remedy when it goes in for its first service.

As an update, I hated the BLNR on BCL's so I put the PCL bracelet back on with the BCL glidelock. I love it again. The BLNR for me looks better with the bling of the PCL's and goes perfectly with my D Blue on Rubber B. Great pair that complement each other nicely. And the ALS rounds out a killer trio.

I think it's like $2400 for a new one but Rolex won't sell you one unless you have one to turn in or something goofy like that.
