This may be a dumb question but what is the point of a 60 second chronograph gradiadated from 1-100?

Ref A278 came in 2 face variations but both seem to have the chronograph 0-100 but it's not like it was a high beat movement (as with the 1/100th contemporary defy etc.)

What would this 60/100 fraction be used to measure?
