Hi all, first things first a few words to introduce myself: I have been on this forum since last october/december and was just chasing info on Speedies (especially cal.1861 & 1863). There are not many people who collect these in Belgium (where I'm from) so this forum and your discussions were my only source of information, so to speak. Then when came the time to buy one I could have risked myself on some franken watch from Ebay, or spent a load of time hunting the good one there.. but that's not for me. I read one of the Admin's piece of advice given to another user some time ago and made it mine. I contacted Kringkily (George from New York, US) and after weeks of discussions he eventually came up with a brilliant 1863 at a really fair price. Of course I could have spent the time hunting on the bay and I could have bought one from some Ukrainian faussaire at a better price.. but hey, again, that's not for me. When we agreed on the price, I made the payment and Kringkily posted the watch very quickly. I received it yesterday in a double box with anti-shock paper and you could see the extra care he brought to the outer boxes. Values appreciated from this seller: -Patience (we have been discussing for weeks to find a watch that suited me). -Professionalism (The package was perfect, the price was good compared to Ebay, and he knows what he is talking about) -Quality of the items he sells: the watch is in perfect condition, no scratches, no dents, it looks like brand new. Don't get mislead by the dust on the photo I posted. That's a buy I will not regret. Thanks again George !
We call him Speedmaster George for a good reason, when you need a Speedmaster, you talk to George lol. I don't know any other dealer that specialises as much in quality modern Speedmasters.
I just made a purchase from him yesterday. Communication was great so far, package is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. So far I'm pleased.
